Accommodations:

Our home is located in Westland, Michigan, in Metro Detroit, roughly 30 minutes from both Downtown Detroit and Ann Arbor.

Corktown, Midtown, and Downtown Detroit offer plenty of options for hotels and rentals at all budget levels. If you're staying downtown, you'll likely encounter high fees for overnight parking at your hotel; however, both metered and free on-street parking are available (there is no charge for parking before 8 a.m., after 10 p.m., or any time Sunday). Casinos offer free parking.

Also nearby are Livonia and Plymouth, which have many mid-priced chain hotel options within 5 to 20 minutes of our home.

Transportation:

On-street parking is available in our neighborhood.

Uber and Lyft are both widely available in Metro Detroit.

Corktown, Midtown, and Downtown Detroit are all walkable. A streetcar (the QLine) and monorail (the People Mover) are public transportation options in these areas. Scooters (Lime, Spin) and bikes (MoGo) are also available to rent.
